Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company under Coal India Limited (Ministry of Coal, Government of India), has announced recruitment for various technical and non-technical posts across its mines and establishments in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. This recruitment drive is for ITI-qualified candidates for positions such as Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Diesel Mechanic, and other skilled trades. NCL is one of India's largest coal-producing companies operating multiple opencast and underground coal mines. Selected candidates will be deployed in mining operations, workshops, and support facilities. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Minimum Qualification: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institution
• Eligible Trades: Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Refrigeration & AC Technician, Plumber, Carpenter, and other relevant trades as per post requirement
• Certificate Validity: ITI certificate must be from a Government recognized institution
• Candidates appearing in final year/semester are NOT eligible to apply

Selection Procedure

1. Written Examination: Computer-based objective type test covering General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Trade-specific technical knowledge based on ITI curriculum. Duration typically 2 hours with 100-150 questions. Qualifying marks apply category-wise.

1. Skill Test/Practical Test: Trade-wise practical examination to assess hands-on competency in the relevant ITI trade. Candidates must demonstrate practical skills on machinery, equipment, or work processes relevant to their trade specialization. Only candidates qualifying written exam are called for skill test.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates including educational qualifications, ITI marksheets, caste certificate, age proof, ID proof, and experience certificates (if any). Failure to produce valid documents leads to candidature cancellation.

1. Medical Examination: Final selected candidates undergo comprehensive medical fitness examination as per Coal India Limited norms. Physical fitness, vision standards, and medical category requirements must be met for mine deployment.

1. Final Merit List: Merit list prepared based on combined performance in written examination and skill test with weightage as specified in notification. Category-wise cutoffs apply. Selected candidates receive appointment letters subject to medical fitness.
