Haryana HTET 2025

Educational Qualification

For Level-1 (Primary Teacher - Class I to V):

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks AND 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks AND 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

For Level-2 (Trained Graduate Teacher - Class VI to VIII):

• Graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks AND 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
• Graduation with at least 45% marks AND B.Ed as per NCTE norms

For Level-3 (Post Graduate Teacher - Class IX to XII):

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Computer-Based Test): Candidates appear for objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs) in online mode for the chosen level(s). The exam tests knowledge of Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I (compulsory), Language-II (compulsory), and subject-specific content & pedagogy.

1. Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure at least 60% marks (90 out of 150) for General/EWS category and 55% marks (82.5 out of 150) for SC/BC/PwD categories to qualify HTET. There is no interview or personality test for HTET.

1. Certificate Issuance: Successful candidates are issued HTET Qualification Certificate which is valid for lifetime (as per current rules). This certificate makes candidates eligible to apply for teacher recruitment drives in Haryana.

1. Actual Recruitment Process (Separate): When government announces teaching vacancies, HTET qualified candidates must apply separately. Final selection involves merit-based selection on educational qualifications, HTET score, experience, and document verification.

1. Document Verification: During recruitment, candidates undergo thorough verification of educational certificates, category certificates, domicile proof, character certificate, and medical fitness certificate.

Candidates must carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving license, or passport) to the examination center. No candidate will be allowed entry without admit card and ID proof.

HTET 2025 results are declared approximately 4-6 weeks after the examination through the official website. Candidates can check their results by entering roll number and date of birth on the result portal. The result displays marks obtained in each section, total marks, qualifying status, and percentile score. Successful candidates can download their HTET qualification certificate (valid for lifetime) from the website after result declaration.
