Selection Procedure

The MPPSC State Service examination follows a comprehensive three-stage selection process:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type): This is a screening test consisting of two papers - General Studies and CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test). The marks obtained in Prelims are not counted for final merit but qualifying in nature. Only candidates securing the cutoff marks are eligible for Mains examination.

1. Main Examination (Descriptive Type): This is the main written examination consisting of 6 papers covering General Studies (4 papers), General Hindi, and Essay writing.
