Selection Procedure

1. Common Eligibility Test (CET): Objective-type written examination conducted by HSSC covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, Science, Hindi, and English. This is the primary screening test to determine eligibility for Group D posts.

HSSC CET Group D employees can progress through departmental promotion examinations and acquire higher qualifications. After 5-8 years of service, Group D employees can appear for departmental exams to get promoted to Clerk/Assistant positions (Group C), subject to eligibility criteria and performance. Admit cards for HSSC CET Group D exam will be released approximately 7-10 days before the examination date on the official HSSC website (hssc.gov.in). Candidates must login using their Registration ID/Roll Number and Date of Birth to download the admit card. No physical admit cards will be sent by post. The admit card contains examination venue, reporting time, candidate's photograph, and important instructions which must be carried to the examination center along with a valid photo ID proof.

HSSC declares the CET Group D result typically within 4-6 weeks after the examination date. The result is published on the official website in PDF format containing roll numbers of qualified candidates. Answer keys are also released for candidate verification and objections.
