Who is this scheme for?
1 crore additional urban poor and middle-income households by 2028-29. 4 verticals — BLC (Beneficiary Led Construction), AHP (Affordable Housing in Partnership), ARH (Affordable Rental Housing), ISS (Interest Subsidy Scheme).
Benefit amount & what you get
Central assistance ₹2.50 lakh for BLC + ₹2.25 lakh for AHP. ISS provides interest subsidy of 4% on loans up to ₹25 lakh (₹35 lakh in metros) for 12 years.
Eligibility criteria
Indian citizen ≥18 yrs. Family does not own a pucca house anywhere in India. EWS family income < ₹3L, LIG < ₹6L, MIG < ₹9L per year.
How to apply — step by step
PMAY 2.0 portal → Aadhaar eKYC → fill household income + house ownership declaration → upload IT return / income certificate → ULB physical verification → approval → first instalment in 60-90 days.
