Who is this scheme for?
1 crore residential households for rooftop solar adoption — up to 300 units free electricity per month.
Benefit amount & what you get
Subsidy of ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW, ₹78,000 for 3+ kW systems (max). Collateral-free 7% interest loan for remaining cost. Net-metering — sell excess back to DISCOM.
Eligibility criteria
Indian household with valid electricity connection + own roof (or co-operative society approval). Not received PMSURYAGHAR or earlier MNRE rooftop subsidy.
How to apply — step by step
Register at pmsuryaghar.gov.in → upload electricity bill + Aadhaar → DISCOM feasibility check (15 days) → choose empanelled vendor → install + inspection → subsidy credited to bank in 30 days.
