The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced recruitment for 130 technical posts including Electrician, Plumber and other skilled positions across various government departments in Jammu & Kashmir. Educational Qualification

• Electrician: ITI in Electrician trade OR equivalent qualification recognized by NCVT/SCVT
• Plumber: ITI in Plumber trade OR equivalent qualification recognized by NCVT/SCVT
• Wireman: ITI in Wireman trade OR equivalent qualification recognized by NCVT/SCVT
• Other Posts: Relevant ITI qualification in the respective trade as specified in detailed notification
• Candidates must possess valid ITI certificate issued by a recognized Industrial Training Institute
• The qualification must be from an institute recognized by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) or SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training)

How to Apply Online

Selection Process

The selection process for JKSSB Technical Posts consists of the following stages:

1. Written Examination (Objective Type): Computer-based objective type examination covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Basic Mathematics, and subject-specific technical knowledge related to the applied trade. This is the primary screening stage.

1. Skill Test/Practical Test: Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for skill test/practical test to assess their practical knowledge and hands-on expertise in their respective ITI trade (Electrician, Plumber, Wireman etc.).

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates after skill test will be called for document verification where original certificates of educational qualification, ITI certificate, domicile, category certificate, experience certificate (if any), and other relevant documents will be verified.

1. Medical Examination: Finally selected candidates will undergo medical examination to ensure physical and mental fitness for the technical posts as per government standards.

1. Final Merit List: Based on combined performance in written exam and skill test, and successful completion of document verification and medical examination, final merit list will be prepared category-wise and appointments will be issued.

Admit Card Information

Result Declaration

The JKSSB will declare the written examination results on its official website typically within 4-6 weeks after the exam date.
