Selection Stages

1. Written Examination: Computer-based objective type test covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi. Duration 2 hours with 100 questions of 100 marks. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks (category-wise) to proceed to next stage.

1. Physical Standards Test (PST): Shortlisted candidates from written exam undergo height, chest (for males), and weight measurement verification as per CISF standards. This is a qualifying stage; no marks awarded.

1. Document Verification (DV): Candidates who clear PST must produce original documents including educational certificates, date of birth proof, caste certificate (if applicable), photo identity proof, and other relevant documents for verification by the board.

1. Medical Examination: Candidates who clear DV undergo detailed medical examination conducted by CISF Medical Board. Candidates must be medically fit as per CISF medical standards. This includes general physical examination, vision test, and fitness assessment.

1. Merit List Preparation: Final merit list is prepared based on marks obtained in written examination only (PST and Medical are qualifying in nature). Candidates are selected category-wise based on vacancy availability and rank in merit.
