The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released Advertisement 03/2026 for recruitment to 1979 various posts across different departments of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. DSSSB is the premier recruitment body responsible for conducting examinations for Group B, C and D posts under the Delhi Government. Educational Qualification

Qualification requirements vary by post:

Candidate must be:

• A citizen of India, OR
• A subject of Nepal, OR
• A subject of Bhutan, OR
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with intention of permanently settling, OR
• A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with intention of permanently settling in India

Candidates in categories (2) to (5) must have certificate of eligibility issued by Government of India.

How to Apply

Selection Process

The selection process comprises the following stages:

1. Tier-I: Computer Based Examination: Objective type written examination testing General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension, English Language & Comprehension. Duration typically 2 hours with 200 questions carrying 200 marks. Qualifying in nature for most posts.

1. Tier-II: Computer Based Examination: For posts requiring specialized knowledge, a second tier examination is conducted covering subject-specific syllabus relevant to the post. Format similar to Tier-I but with technical/professional questions based on post requirements.

1. Skill Test/Typing Test: For posts like LDC, Steno, Data Entry Operator, practical skill tests are conducted. Typing tests are qualifying in nature with minimum speed requirements (30-35 wpm in English, 25-30 wpm in Hindi).

1. Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted based on examination performance are called for document verification. Original certificates of age, educational qualification, category, experience are verified.

1. Medical Examination: Selected candidates undergo medical fitness examination as per government standards. Medical fitness certificate from authorized medical board is mandatory before final appointment.

1. Final Merit List: Based on marks obtained in examination(s), subject to qualifying skill tests and document verification, final merit list is prepared and appointment letters issued.
