Educational Qualification

• Minimum Qualification: 12th Pass (10+2) from a recognized Board/Council
• Computer Knowledge: Certificate/Diploma in Computer Applications or Data Entry Operations (minimum 6 months duration) from a recognized institution
• Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English OR 25 words per minute in Hindi on computer
• Desirable: Knowledge of hospital management software and medical terminology

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): Objective type online examination covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, English/Hindi Language, and Typing skills assessment. Duration of 2 hours. This is the primary screening stage.

1. Typing/Skill Test: Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for practical typing test. Candidates must demonstrate typing speed of 30 wpm in English OR 25 wpm in Hindi on computer. Duration of 10 minutes. This is qualifying in nature.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates after skill test will be called for verification of original documents including educational certificates, caste certificate, age proof, computer training certificate, and experience certificates if any.

1. Medical Examination: Finally selected candidates will undergo mandatory medical fitness examination by the AIIMS Rishikesh medical board to ensure physical and mental fitness for the post.

1. Final Merit List: Based on performance in CBT, skill test, and document verification, a final merit list will be prepared category-wise. Selection will be made strictly on merit basis as per reservation rules.

Note: All stages are mandatory. Qualifying one stage does not guarantee final selection. Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed to the next.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer

Qualifying Marks: General/EWS - 50%, OBC - 45%, SC/ST/PwBD - 40%

Typing/Skill Test

Note: Candidates can choose either English or Hindi for typing test. Typing test is qualifying in nature and marks will not be counted for merit. Gross speed will be counted, and net speed will be calculated after deducting errors.

Results of the Computer-Based Test will be declared on the official AIIMS Rishikesh website within 4-6 weeks after the examination date. Candidates can check their results by entering their registration number and date of birth on the result portal. The result will display marks obtained in each section, total marks, qualifying status, and cut-off marks. Shortlisted candidates for typing test will be notified separately via email and SMS. Cut-off marks for Data Entry Operator posts vary based on the difficulty level of the examination and number of vacancies. Typically, General category candidates need to score around 55-65 marks out of 100, OBC candidates around 50-60 marks, and SC/ST candidates around 40-50 marks to qualify for the typing test round.
