UPBEd Result 2026

UPBEd (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education) Result 2026 refers to the outcome declaration for the UP Basic Education Board's Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or recruitment examination conducted for selecting candidates for teaching positions in government primary and upper primary schools across Uttar Pradesh. The examination is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board under the Department of Basic Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Successful candidates are appointed as Assistant Teachers in primary schools (Class I-V) and upper primary schools (Class VI-VIII) across various districts of UP. This is a state-level recruitment drive aimed at filling teaching vacancies in government-aided schools. The result determines merit-based selection and subsequent posting of qualified candidates.

For Primary Teacher (Class I-V):

• Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
• Senior Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks AND 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR

How to Apply

1. Visit the official UPBEd website at upbasiceduboard.gov.in or the designated recruitment portal
2. Click on the 'New Registration' link and enter basic details (Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Mobile Number)
3. Note down the Registration Number and Password sent to your registered email/mobile
4. Login using the Registration Number and Password
5. Fill in the complete application form with personal details, educational qualifications, category information, and exam centre preference
6. Upload scanned documents (Photograph: 50 KB, Signature: 20 KB, ID Proof, Qualification Certificates in JPG/JPEG format)
7. Preview the filled application form carefully and verify all entered information
8. Proceed to payment section and pay the application fee through online mode (Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI)
9. After successful payment, submit the application form
10. Download and save the confirmation page for future reference

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Objective Type): Computer-based or offline objective-type examination testing candidates on Child Development & Pedagogy, Language Proficiency (Hindi & English), Mathematics, Environmental Studies/Science & Social Studies based on the level applied for. This is the primary screening stage.

1. Merit List Preparation: Based on marks obtained in the written examination, a merit list will be prepared category-wise and post-wise. Candidates will be shortlisted according to the number of vacancies available.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification where original certificates of educational qualification, age proof, caste certificate (if applicable), TET certificate, and other relevant documents will be verified.

1. Medical Examination: Candidates who successfully complete document verification will undergo a medical fitness examination to ensure they meet the physical and mental health standards required for teaching positions.

1. Final Selection & Posting: Final merit list will be prepared after successful completion of all stages. Selected candidates will receive appointment letters and will be posted to schools across Uttar Pradesh based on their preferences and availability of vacancies.

Assistant Teachers in UP Basic Education Department have well-defined career progression opportunities. After serving for a minimum period (typically 5-8 years) with satisfactory performance, teachers can be promoted to positions such as Head Teacher/Principal of primary schools, and subsequently to Block Education Officer (BEO), District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), or join the state education administrative services through departmental promotions and competitive examinations. Performance-based increments and vertical growth in pay scales are also available as per government norms.

The UPBEd admit card for the 2026 examination will be released approximately 15-20 days before the scheduled exam date on the official website. Candidates need to login using their registration number and date of birth/password to download their admit card. The admit card will contain important details including candidate's name, photograph, exam centre address, date and time of examination, and important instructions. It is mandatory to carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

The UPBEd Result 2026 will be declared approximately 6-8 weeks after the examination date on the official website upbasiceduboard.gov.in. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and date of birth. The result will display marks obtained in each section, total marks, qualifying status, and merit position. Scorecard/marksheet will be available for download, and selected candidates will receive information about document verification schedule through official website and registered email/SMS.

Typical / Indicative: The cutoff marks for UPBEd examinations vary based on category and number of vacancies. Generally, for General category, the cutoff ranges between 55-65% of total marks, OBC candidates around 50-60%, SC candidates around 45-55%, and ST candidates around 40-50%. The actual cutoff depends on factors including exam difficulty level, number of applicants, and total vacancies. Category-wise cutoff marks are announced along with the final result and merit list.

In exceptional cases, centres may be established in neighboring states (Delhi NCR, Uttarakhand) for candidates from border areas.
