Educational Qualification

Selection Procedure

1. Written Examination (Computer Based Test): Objective type online examination covering Technical Knowledge (Chemistry/Chemical Engineering), General Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. Duration 2-3 hours. Qualifying candidates shortlisted for next stage based on normalized marks.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates required to produce original documents for verification including educational certificates, date of birth proof, category certificates, experience certificates (if applicable), and identity proof. Candidates failing to produce genuine documents will be disqualified.

1. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates after document verification called for personal interview before a panel of NTPC experts. Interview assesses technical knowledge, aptitude, general awareness, communication skills, and suitability for the role. Typically 50-100 marks weightage.

1. Medical Examination: Finally selected candidates undergo comprehensive medical examination as per NTPC medical standards. Candidates must be medically fit for working in power plant/industrial environment.

Final selection results will be declared after completion of all selection stages including interviews and medical examination.
