Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) Kudankulam invites applications for Stipendiary Trainee and Technician positions for the year 2026. NPCIL is a Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, responsible for design, construction, commissioning and operation of nuclear power reactors. The Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant is located in Tamil Nadu and is one of India's largest nuclear power stations. Educational Qualification

For Stipendiary Trainee:

• National Trade Certificate (NTC) / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in relevant trade from NCVT
• OR ITI Certificate in relevant trades: Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Turner, Welder, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Plumber, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)
• Minimum 60% marks for General/EWS candidates, 50% for OBC, and pass marks for SC/ST candidates

For Technician:

• ITI Certificate in relevant trade with minimum 2 years experience in relevant field
• OR Diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline

Selection Stages

Admit cards for the written examination will be released approximately 10-15 days before the exam date on the official NPCIL recruitment portal. Candidates must login using their registration credentials to download their admit card. The admit card contains important details including exam date, time, venue, candidate's name, roll number, and important instructions. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre. No candidate will be allowed entry without a valid admit card.

Results for each stage of selection will be declared on the official NPCIL website. Written examination results typically announced within 4-6 weeks after the exam, displaying roll numbers of qualified candidates and cut-off marks category-wise. Skill test results and final merit list are published subsequently. Candidates can check their results by entering registration/roll number on the recruitment portal. Selected candidates are intimated through registered email and SMS, and the final appointment letters are issued after completion of all formalities including document verification and medical examination.

Cut-off marks vary each year depending on factors like vacancy count, number of applicants, and difficulty level of examination. Typically for Stipendiary Trainee positions, General category candidates need to score around 60-70% marks, while OBC candidates require 55-65% and SC/ST candidates need 45-55% marks to qualify for the skill test. For Technician positions, cut-offs are generally 5-10 marks higher. Final selection cut-offs are higher and depend on availability of vacancies in each category and trade.
