The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) Limited, a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Textiles, has announced recruitment for 148 various technical and ministerial posts across India for the year 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill positions requiring ITI and equivalent qualifications in various trades. CCI is primarily engaged in market intervention operations for procurement of cotton at Minimum Support Price (MSP) to safeguard the interests of cotton farmers. Selected candidates will be deployed across CCI's network of offices and cotton procurement centres throughout cotton-growing states. Educational Qualification

• Essential: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute
• Trades Required: Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Wireman, Plumber, or other relevant trades as specified in the notification
• Additional: Valid ITI certificate with National Trade Certificate
• Desirable: Additional certification or diploma in relevant field, computer knowledge

1. Online Written Examination: Computer-based test covering General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and Trade-specific Technical Knowledge relevant to ITI qualification. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted.

1. Skill Test / Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates from written exam will undergo practical skill test in their respective ITI trade to assess hands-on technical competency and practical knowledge. This is qualifying in nature.

1. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in skill test will be called for verification of original certificates including educational qualifications (ITI certificate, mark sheets), date of birth proof, caste certificate (if applicable), PwBD certificate, experience certificates, and other relevant documents.

1. Medical Examination: Finally shortlisted candidates will undergo medical examination by authorized medical board to ensure fitness for the post as per CCI standards. Candidates must be medically fit as per the requirements of the position.

1. Final Merit List: Based on performance in written examination (skill test being qualifying), final merit list will be prepared category-wise and appointments will be offered as per vacancy availability and merit ranking.

Actual salary may vary based on posting location (X/Y/Z class city HRA rates) and specific post level. DA rates are revised quarterly by Government.

CCI provides structured career progression opportunities with regular promotions based on performance appraisals and departmental promotion tests. ITI qualified employees can progress from Level 2/3 to higher technical grades (Level 4, 5, 6) over 15-20 years of service, with opportunities to reach supervisory and junior managerial positions. Admit cards for the written examination will be available for download approximately 10-15 days before the scheduled exam date. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official CCI recruitment portal using their registration number and date of birth. The admit card will contain important details including examination centre, reporting time, candidate's photograph, and important instructions. No physical admit card will be sent by post; candidates must carry a printed copy along with valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

Results of the written examination will be declared on the official CCI website approximately 3-4 weeks after the examination. Candidates can check their results online using their roll number and registration details. Shortlisted candidates for skill test will be intimated through website notification and registered email/SMS. Final selection results after document verification and medical examination will be published in the form of a merit list, and selected candidates will receive appointment letters through registered post and email.

Typical cutoff marks for CCI ITI posts range between 40-55 marks out of 100 for General category, 35-48 marks for OBC, and 30-42 marks for SC/ST candidates, varying based on number of applicants and difficulty level. Category-wise cutoffs are determined based on number of vacancies and normalized scores. Previous year trends suggest that technical knowledge section carries higher weightage in determining final merit, and candidates scoring above 60% generally have good chances of selection in the General category.
