Since NCL Apprentice selection is merit-based on educational qualification percentage, cutoff marks vary by trade, category, and year depending on the number of applicants and vacancies. Typically, for Diploma apprentices in popular trades like Electrical and Mechanical, General category cutoff percentage ranges from 60-70% aggregate marks, while for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), cutoff is generally 5-10% lower ranging from 50-60%. For ITI Trade apprentices, cutoff percentages are typically 55-65% for General category and 45-55% for reserved categories. Specialized trades with fewer applicants may have lower cutoffs.
