Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhagalpur invites applications for 2 posts of Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer on direct recruitment basis. IIIT Bhagalpur is an autonomous Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. These are regular/permanent technical positions responsible for planning, execution, and supervision of civil engineering works, maintenance of buildings, infrastructure development, and project management within the institute campus. Selected candidates will work under the administrative control of the Registrar and will be part of the institute's core technical team. The positions offer standard Central Government pay scales with allowances as per 7th CPC recommendations. Educational Qualification

For Executive Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution

For Assistant Engineer:

1. Screening of Applications: All received applications will be scrutinized by the recruitment committee to check eligibility criteria including educational qualifications, experience, age limit, and document completeness. Only eligible candidates will be shortlisted.

1. Written Test/Skill Test (if applicable): Shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for a technical written examination covering civil engineering subjects, project management, construction practices, and relevant technical knowledge.

Final Selection: Candidates will be selected based on combined marks of Written Test (if conducted) and Interview in the ratio of 70:30 or based solely on Interview performance as decided by the competent authority.

Selected candidates will have excellent career progression opportunities within IIIT Bhagalpur and across central government technical institutions. Assistant Engineers can be promoted to Executive Engineer after 5-7 years with good performance, and Executive Engineers can progress to Superintending Engineer and Chief Engineer positions. Inter-institutional transfers to other IIITs, NITs, IITs, and central government departments are also possible, providing diverse career pathways in technical administration and infrastructure development.

If a written examination is conducted, admit cards will be issued to eligible candidates approximately 7-10 days before the exam date. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official IIIT Bhagalpur website (www.iiitbh.ac.in) using their application number and date of birth. For interview calls, separate call letters will be sent via email and also made available on the website. Candidates must carry the admit card/call letter along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Driving License/Voter ID) to the examination/interview venue.

Results of the written test (if conducted) will be declared on the official IIIT Bhagalpur website within 15-20 days of the examination. The final selection list after interview will be published on the website within 7-10 days of completion of interviews. Selected candidates will be informed via email and registered post. The result will display the roll numbers of selected candidates along with their category and waiting list if any. Candidates can check their individual scorecards by logging into the recruitment portal using their credentials.
