1. Preliminary Examination (PET): Computer-based objective type screening test covering General Hindi, General Knowledge, General Intelligence, Elementary Arithmetic. Qualifying in nature for most posts. Marks not counted for final merit.

1. Main Examination (Mains): Detailed computer-based test covering subject-specific topics, General Hindi, General Knowledge, and Arithmetic. Marks of this exam determine final merit ranking.

1. Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted based on mains marks are called for certificate verification. Original documents of educational qualification, category certificate, domicile, and other claims verified.

Additional benefits include Medical Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Annual Increments, Pension benefits under National Pension Scheme (NPS), Leave Travel Allowance (LTA), Gratuity, and Group Insurance coverage. Higher level posts (Group B) offer pay in Level-7 to Level-9 ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹53,100 basic pay.
