The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is recruiting Bus Conductors for 2026 to manage ticketing, passenger assistance, and fare collection on state-run buses across Uttar Pradesh. UPSRTC is a state government undertaking responsible for public transportation services in UP. This recruitment aims to fill 59 conductor positions across various depots and bus routes. Selected candidates will be responsible for issuing tickets, ensuring passenger safety, collecting fares, and maintaining records during bus operations. Educational Qualification

Selection Stages

1. Medical Fitness Test: Candidates must undergo medical examination to ensure physical and mental fitness for conductor duties. Vision test, hearing test, and general health assessment conducted by authorized medical board.

1. Physical Measurement (if applicable): Height and chest measurements may be taken as per prescribed standards, though typically not mandatory for conductor posts.

1. Final Merit List: Based on marks obtained in written exam, candidates will be ranked category-wise. Final selection made strictly on merit basis subject to document verification and medical fitness clearance.

Note: There is no interview for Bus Conductor posts. Selection is primarily based on written examination performance.

Bus Conductors in UPSRTC have defined career progression opportunities. After serving as Conductor for 5-7 years with good performance record, employees can be promoted to Senior Conductor and subsequently to Inspector/Depot Supervisor positions through departmental examinations. Further growth is possible to Assistant Manager and Manager positions in operations, with some candidates reaching Deputy General Manager level after 20-25 years of service with requisite qualifications and experience.
