UCSL (Universal Card Services Limited) is recruiting for Assistant General Manager and Deputy Manager positions in 2026. UCSL is a joint venture between State Bank of India and other public sector banks, primarily handling ATM network management and card services across India. Selected candidates will be responsible for ATM operations management, vendor coordination, business analytics, and technical support functions. Educational Qualification

For Assistant General Manager:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Electronics, IT or related fields from recognized university
• OR Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Management (MBA/PGDM) in relevant specialization
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience in banking/ATM operations/card services

For Deputy Manager:

• Diploma in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, IT) from recognized institution
• OR Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with relevant certifications
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in banking operations or technical support

Selection Stages

1. Online Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective type multiple choice examination covering reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, English language, general awareness, and technical/professional knowledge based on the post applied. Duration typically 120-150 minutes.

1. Shortlisting for Interview: Candidates scoring above minimum cut-off marks in written test will be shortlisted for personal interview. Shortlist is prepared based on merit and number of vacancies with adequate representation for reserved categories.

1. Personal Interview: Face-to-face interview with expert panel assessing technical knowledge, domain expertise, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and suitability for the position. Carries weightage of 25-30% of total marks.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates after interview must produce original documents for verification including educational certificates, experience letters, caste certificate, age proof, identity proof, and other relevant documents.

1. Medical Examination: Final selected candidates undergo medical fitness examination as per organizational standards to ensure fitness for job responsibilities.

1. Final Merit List: Prepared based on combined marks of written test and interview, subject to document verification and medical fitness clearance.

Career progression at UCSL follows a structured path with opportunities for internal promotions based on performance and experience. Deputy Managers can be promoted to Assistant Manager, then Manager, Senior Manager, and eventually to General Manager level positions. Assistant General Managers can progress to General Manager, Senior General Manager, and higher leadership roles including Chief positions in operations, technology, or business development with salary increments of 15-20% at each promotion cycle typically occurring every 3-5 years.

Admit cards for the written examination will be released approximately 10-15 days before the exam date on the official UCSL website. Candidates must login to the recruitment portal using their registration number and password/date of birth to download the admit card. The admit card contains important details including candidate's name, photograph, exam centre address, reporting time, and exam day instructions. No postal dispatch of admit cards is done; candidates must carry a printed copy along with valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

The written test result will be declared approximately 3-4 weeks after the examination date on the official website. Candidates can check their scores and qualifying status by logging into the recruitment portal with their credentials. Shortlisted candidates for personal interview will be intimated through email and SMS on registered contact details. Final selection list after interview and document verification will be published on the website with roll numbers and names of selected candidates for each post category-wise.

Cut-off marks vary based on post, category, and difficulty level of the examination. For Deputy Manager posts, typical cut-off ranges from 50-60% for general category, 45-55% for OBC, and 40-50% for SC/ST categories. For Assistant General Manager posts, expected cut-offs are higher at 60-70% for general category, 55-65% for OBC, and 50-60% for SC/ST. Final cut-off also depends on number of applicants, vacancies available, and overall performance distribution. Sectional cut-offs are also applied ensuring minimum qualifying marks in each section.
