The selection process consists of three phases:
- Phase I - Preliminary Examination: An online objective test to shortlist candidates for Main Examination. This is qualifying in nature. Candidates need to secure minimum cutoff marks in each section and overall to qualify for Mains.
- Phase II - Main Examination: An online objective test plus descriptive test for candidates who qualify Prelims. The Main exam tests in-depth knowledge of banking, economy, reasoning, English, computer, and data analysis. Descriptive test evaluates essay and letter writing skills.
