Selection Process

The selection process for RRB Paramedical Staff consists of the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Single-stage objective type computer-based examination covering General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Science with technical subject questions. Duration of 90 minutes with 100 questions for 100 marks.
  1. Normalization of Marks: Since CBT is conducted in multiple shifts over several days, normalization of scores is done to ensure fairness across different difficulty levels of question papers administered in different sessions.
  1. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates based on CBT merit are called for document verification where original certificates of educational qualification, age proof, category certificate, medical fitness certificate and other relevant documents are verified.
