RRB Paramedical Staff Result 2026 CEN 03/2025

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the Paramedical Staff recruitment examination under CEN 03/2025 to fill various paramedical posts across Indian Railways. This recruitment is for positions including Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, Lab Technician, Lab Superintendent, Radiographer, ECG Technician, and other paramedical categories. The examination is conducted in multiple stages and candidates are posted across different railway zones throughout India. RRB Paramedical recruitment offers candidates an opportunity to serve in the healthcare wing of Indian Railways with job security, good pay scale and various perks. This is an All India recruitment conducted by various RRBs simultaneously. Selected candidates will be deployed in railway hospitals, health units and medical facilities across the Indian Railways network.

Educational Qualification

• Staff Nurse: B.Sc Nursing / GNM with registration in State/Indian Nursing Council
• Pharmacist: Diploma in Pharmacy with registration in State/Central Pharmacy Council
• Lab Technician: Diploma in Medical Lab Technology / B.Sc MLT
• Radiographer: Diploma in Radiography / B.Sc Radiography
• ECG Technician: Diploma in ECG Technology / relevant paramedical diploma
• Health & Malaria Inspector: Diploma in Health Inspector / Sanitary Inspector
• Other Posts: ITI / Diploma in relevant discipline as per post requirement

Age Limit

How to Apply

1. Visit the official RRB website (www.rrbapply.gov.in) or respective RRB zonal website
2. Click on the 'Apply Online' link for CEN 03/2025 Paramedical Staff recruitment
3. Register as a new user by providing basic details (Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID)
4. Verify mobile number and email through OTP
5. Login using registration number and password
6. Fill the application form with personal, educational and other required details
7. Upload scanned photograph (3.5 cm × 3.5 cm, 20-50 KB, JPEG format) and signature (3 cm × 2 cm, 10-40 KB, JPEG format)
8. Select preferred exam city and RRB zone
9. Review all entered details carefully
10. Proceed to payment section and pay application fee through available modes (Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI)
11. Submit the application form
12. Take printout of the application form for future reference

Selection Stages

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Single stage computer-based examination consisting of multiple-choice questions covering General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and Technical abilities related to the post. Duration is 90 minutes with negative marking for wrong answers.

1. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates based on CBT merit are called for document verification. Candidates must produce all original documents including educational certificates, community certificate, medical fitness certificate, registration certificates (for Nurse/Pharmacist), and other relevant documents.

1. Medical Examination: Candidates who successfully complete document verification undergo medical examination as per Railway Medical Standards. Fitness certificate is issued by Railway Medical Board.

1. Final Merit List: Final selection is based on performance in CBT. Candidates are allocated to various Railway zones based on merit, preference and vacancy availability.

Typical / Indicative salary structure for RRB Paramedical Staff:

Major Allowances:

• Dearness Allowance (DA): Currently 50% of Basic Pay (revised twice yearly)
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 8% to 24% of Basic Pay depending on city classification (X/Y/Z)
• Transport Allowance: ₹1,800 to ₹3,600 per month
• Night Duty Allowance: As applicable for shift duties
• Medical Allowance: Free medical facilities for self and dependents
• Running Allowance: As per duty requirements

RRB Paramedical staff have structured career progression within Indian Railways. Staff Nurses can be promoted to Senior Staff Nurse and then to Nursing Superintendent positions. Similarly, other paramedical staff can progress to Senior Technical positions and Supervisory roles (Lab Superintendent, Chief Pharmacist, etc.) based on experience, performance and departmental promotion examinations. Promotions are typically time-bound with opportunities approximately every 5-7 years, leading to pay levels up to Level 7-8 and beyond in senior positions.

RRB releases admit cards approximately 4-5 days before the examination date. Candidates can download their admit card from the official RRB website or the centralized RRB portal (www.rrbapply.gov.in) using their registration number and date of birth. The admit card contains important details including examination date, time, venue, reporting time, and important instructions. No hard copy of admit card will be sent by post; candidates must carry a printed copy along with valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

RRB declares CBT results typically 4-6 weeks after examination completion. Results are published on the official RRB websites in PDF format containing roll numbers of qualified candidates. Scorecards showing marks obtained, normalized scores, and section-wise performance can be downloaded individually using login credentials. Candidates qualifying the CBT are shortlisted for Document Verification based on merit and number of vacancies. Final result after DV and medical examination is published separately with railway zone allocation details.

Typical / Indicative cutoff marks for RRB Paramedical recruitment (out of 125 marks): UR category candidates typically need 65-75 marks, OBC-NCL candidates need 55-65 marks, while SC/ST candidates need 50-60 marks to qualify. Cutoff varies significantly based on post category, number of vacancies, difficulty level of exam and number of candidates appearing. Competitive posts like Staff Nurse and Pharmacist usually have higher cutoffs (70-80 for UR) compared to other paramedical positions. Zone-wise cutoffs also vary, with cutoffs generally higher for popular zones.
