The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) conducts the School Lecturer (Special Education) recruitment examination to select qualified candidates for teaching positions in special education schools across Rajasthan. This recruitment is for the Department of Education, Government of Rajasthan, and aims to fill 121 lecturer posts specializing in teaching students with disabilities. Selected candidates will serve as School Lecturers (Special Education) in government schools, focusing on inclusive education for students with visual impairment, hearing impairment, intellectual disabilities, and other special needs. Selection Stages

1. Written Examination (Competitive Exam): Single paper of objective type covering General Knowledge, Special Education pedagogy, teaching methodology, disability studies, educational psychology, and relevant subject knowledge. This is the primary screening stage.

1. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for document verification. Original certificates of educational qualifications, caste certificate, domicile, experience certificates, and other relevant documents must be produced.

1. Personal Interview/Teaching Demonstration: Shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for personal interview or teaching demonstration session to assess their teaching skills, subject knowledge, and suitability for special education roles.

1. Medical Examination: Finally selected candidates will undergo medical fitness examination as per government norms to ensure they are physically and mentally fit for the teaching position.

1. Final Merit List: Final selection will be based on combined performance in written examination and interview (if conducted), subject to document verification and medical fitness.

School Lecturers (Special Education) have excellent career progression opportunities in the Rajasthan Education Department. After completing stipulated service periods and performance assessments, lecturers can be promoted to Senior Lecturer, Vice Principal, Principal of special schools, and eventually to administrative positions like District Education Officer (Special Education) or higher positions in the Directorate of Education. Admit cards for the RPSC School Lecturer (Special Education) examination will be released approximately 10-15 days before the scheduled exam date on the official RPSC website. Candidates must download their admit card using their application number and date of birth from the official portal.
