Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type): A screening test consisting of one paper with 150 objective type questions covering General Knowledge and General Science. This is a qualifying exam and marks are not counted for final merit. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks proceed to Mains examination.
- Main Examination (Written): Comprises four compulsory papers of conventional (descriptive) type covering General Knowledge, General Hindi and General English, and two papers on General Studies and Mental Ability. This is the main merit-determining stage with detailed essay-type and analytical questions.
- Interview/Personality Test: Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are called for personal interview conducted by RPSC Board. The interview carries 100 marks and assesses personality, general awareness, communication skills, and suitability for administrative services.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates after interview undergo detailed document verification where all original certificates (educational, category, domicile, age proof) are verified by the commission.
- Medical Examination: Final selected candidates undergo medical fitness examination to ensure they meet the physical and medical standards required for government service.
