Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type): Screening test consisting of one paper with 150 multiple choice questions covering General Knowledge & General Science. Candidates are shortlisted based on merit for the Mains examination. Approximately 25-30 times candidates of total vacancies are selected for Mains.
- Main Examination (Descriptive Type): Comprehensive written examination consisting of 4 compulsory papers testing General Studies, General Hindi & English, General Knowledge & General Science, and General Aptitude. Each paper is descriptive (subjective) type. Total marks are 800. Merit list is prepared based on Mains marks.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates from Mains examination are called for personality test/interview conducted by RPSC board. Interview carries 100 marks and assesses candidate's personality, communication skills, general awareness, and suitability for administrative roles.
- Document Verification: Candidates who clear the interview undergo thorough document verification where all original certificates related to age, educational qualification, category, domicile, and other claims are checked.
- Medical Examination: Final selected candidates undergo medical fitness examination as per government standards to ensure physical and mental fitness for administrative duties.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on combined marks of Main Examination (800 marks) and Interview (100 marks). Prelims marks are only for qualification and not counted in final merit.
