Selection Stages

1. Written Examination (Objective Type): A computer-based or offline objective type written test covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, Punjabi, and General Awareness about Punjab and Excise Laws. Qualifying candidates proceed to next stage.

1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Verification of minimum physical standards including height and chest measurements as prescribed by the department. This is qualifying in nature.

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates must complete specified physical tasks like running, long jump as per departmental norms. This stage is qualifying and candidates must meet minimum standards.

1. Document Verification: Successful candidates from previous stages must appear for verification of original certificates including educational qualifications, age proof, domicile certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents.

1. Medical Examination: Candidates clearing document verification undergo medical fitness test by authorized medical board to ensure they meet health standards required for the post.
