Typical / Indicative Salary Structure for Contract Positions

Note: Contract employees typically receive consolidated monthly remuneration. Major allowances like DA, HRA are generally not applicable to contractual/temporary staff. However, free accommodation and basic amenities are provided as these are residential campus positions. The exact amount varies by position and location. ESI and PF may be applicable as per prevailing rules.

Contract positions in JNVs offer limited formal career progression. However, candidates who perform well may get contract renewals and preference in future regular recruitments. Experienced staff members may be considered for supervisory roles or regularization if the organization issues notifications for permanent positions. Long-serving contractual employees sometimes get absorbed into regular cadre subject to government policies and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
