Educational Qualification

Selection Stages

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): Single-stage computer-based examination testing Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. Duration of 150 minutes with 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions.

1. Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates based on JIPMAT scores are called for Personal Interview rounds conducted separately by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. The PI assesses communication skills, general awareness, and overall personality.

1. Written Ability Test (WAT): Some institutes may conduct WAT to evaluate written communication skills and clarity of thought on given topics.

1. Final Merit List: Final selection is based on composite score comprising JIPMAT score, Personal Interview performance, WAT (if applicable), and academic record (Class 10 and 12 marks). Each IIM has its own weightage formula.

1. Document Verification: Selected candidates must present original documents for verification including Class 10, Class 12 certificates, category certificates, and identity proof before final admission.

Note: JIPMAT is an entrance examination for academic programmes. Students admitted to the 5-year Integrated MBA programme at IIM Bodh Gaya or IIM Jammu do not receive a salary during the programme duration. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging in with their Application Number and Date of Birth/Password. The admit card contains crucial information including candidate's name, photograph, exam centre details, reporting time, and important instructions. No physical copy is sent by post; candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

NTA declares the JIPMAT result typically within 10-15 days after the examination. Results are published on the official website jipmat.nta.ac.in, and candidates can check their scores by logging in with credentials. The result displays section-wise scores, total marks obtained, and All India Rank. NTA also releases category-wise and institute-wise merit lists. Scorecard can be downloaded from the website, and no physical scorecard is sent by post.

JIPMAT cutoffs vary each year based on exam difficulty, number of applicants, and seat availability. Typically, General category candidates need to score around 160-180 marks out of 300 to be eligible for the interview stage at IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. Category-wise indicative cutoffs: SC/ST candidates around 120-140 marks, OBC-NCL around 140-160 marks. Final admission cutoffs are higher and include weightage for PI, WAT, and past academic performance. Sectional cutoffs also apply, requiring minimum scores in each section.
