NTA JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test) 2026 is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to the 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. This computer-based test assesses candidates in Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension. The exam provides an opportunity for students who have completed their Class 12th to pursue integrated management programmes at premier IIMs. JIPMAT is conducted once a year and serves as the gateway to these prestigious institutions. Successful candidates are selected based on their JIPMAT score followed by Personal Interview rounds conducted by the respective IIMs. The exam is open to candidates from all states across India and offers a unique pathway to management education directly after senior secondary education.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th examinations (or equivalent) from a recognized Board
• Minimum 60% marks in both Class 10th and Class 12th for General/EWS/OBC-NCL categories
• Minimum 55% marks in both Class 10th and Class 12th for SC/ST/PwD categories
• Candidates appearing in Class 12th examination in 2026 are also eligible to apply
• No specific stream requirement - candidates from Science, Commerce, Arts are all eligible
• The qualifying marks requirement must be met in both Class 10th and Class 12th separately

Application Process

1. Visit the official NTA JIPMAT website at jipmat.nta.ac.in
2. Click on 'JIPMAT 2026 Registration' link on the homepage
3. Register as a new user by providing basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile Number) and create login credentials
4. Verify your email and mobile number through OTP received
5. Login using the generated Application Number and Password
6. Fill the online application form with personal details, academic qualifications, contact information, and choice of exam city
7. Upload scanned documents (Recent photograph in JPG format 10-100 KB, Signature in JPG format 4-30 KB, Class 10th Certificate, Class 12th Marksheet or School Certificate)
8. Select preferred exam city from the available options
9. Review all entered information carefully before final submission
10. Pay the application fee through online mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI/Paytm)
11. Submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference

Selection Process

1. JIPMAT Examination: Candidates appear for the computer-based JIPMAT exam consisting of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability sections. The exam is of 2.5 hours duration with 100 questions carrying 100 marks.

1. Merit List Preparation: NTA prepares an All India Merit List based on the JIPMAT scores. Separate category-wise merit lists are also prepared for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD candidates.

1. Shortlisting for Personal Interview: Based on JIPMAT scores and seat availability, IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu independently shortlist candidates for Personal Interview rounds. Each IIM has its own shortlisting criteria and weightage system.

1. Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates are called for Personal Interview at designated centres. The PI assesses candidates' communication skills, general awareness, subject knowledge, and suitability for the IPM programme.

1. Final Selection: Final merit list is prepared by combining JIPMAT score (typically 70-85% weightage) and Personal Interview performance (typically 15-30% weightage). Class 10th and 12th marks may also carry minor weightage as per individual IIM policy.

1. Document Verification: Selected candidates must appear for document verification with original certificates including Class 10th, Class 12th, Category Certificate, and other relevant documents.

1. Admission Offer: Based on the final merit list and document verification, admission offers are made. Candidates must pay the admission fee within the stipulated time to confirm their seat.

The JIPMAT 2026 Admit Card will be released by NTA approximately 5-7 days before the examination date on the official website jipmat.nta.ac.in. NTA declares the JIPMAT 2026 result typically within 10-15 days after the examination date on the official website. The result includes the candidate's score, All India Rank, category rank, and percentile. Candidates can download their scorecard by logging into the NTA JIPMAT portal using their Application Number and Date of Birth. NTA also releases subject-wise scores and an answer key (preliminary and final) for transparency.
