Selection Process
Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Written Examination (Objective Type): Candidates will appear for a computer-based or offline written test covering subject-specific topics, general awareness, reasoning ability and English comprehension. The exam will test knowledge in relevant biological sciences, laboratory techniques, and general aptitude. Marks obtained in this stage will be used for shortlisting.
- Skill Test/Practical Test: Shortlisted candidates from the written exam will be called for a practical/skill test to assess their laboratory skills, handling of equipment, experimental procedures, and practical knowledge relevant to the post. This is particularly important for technical and scientific positions.
- Personal Interview: Candidates who qualify the skill test will be called for a personal interview before an expert panel. The interview will assess subject knowledge, research aptitude, analytical abilities, communication skills, and overall suitability for the position. Interview carries significant weightage in final merit.
- Document Verification: Candidates provisionally selected after the interview will be required to appear for document verification with original certificates including educational qualifications, experience certificates, age proof, caste certificate, and other relevant documents.
- Medical Examination: Finally selected candidates will undergo a medical fitness examination as per Government of India norms to ensure they are medically fit for the post.
Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance in written exam, skill test and interview, subject to qualifying each stage separately.
