Selection Process

1. Preliminary Examination (Screening Test): Objective type exam to shortlist candidates for Mains. This is qualifying in nature and marks are not counted for final merit. Tests general awareness, reasoning ability, and basic subject knowledge relevant to the post.

1. Main Examination (Written Test): Descriptive type examination covering subjects specific to the post applied for. Includes General Studies papers, optional subjects, and language papers. Marks obtained in Mains are counted for final merit calculation with appropriate weightage.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates from Mains are called for verification of original certificates including educational qualifications, caste certificates, domicile, age proof, and other relevant documents. Candidates failing to produce originals are disqualified.

1. Personality Test/Interview: Final stage where candidates face a board of experts who assess their suitability for the post based on knowledge, communication skills, analytical ability, and overall personality. Interview typically carries 100-200 marks depending on the post.
