JEE Advanced Answer Key 2026

JEE Advanced 2026 is the national-level engineering entrance examination conducted by one of the seven IITs on a rotational basis for admission to undergraduate engineering programs (B.Tech, B.Arch, BS) at 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), NIT Rourkela, IISER Pune, and other premier institutions. Only the top 2,50,000 successful candidates from JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The Answer Key is released by the organizing IIT within 2-3 days after the exam, allowing candidates to estimate their scores and raise objections if needed. Educational Qualification

Application Process

Selection Process

1. JEE Main Qualification: Candidate must rank among top 2,50,000 in JEE Main 2026 (including all categories) to be eligible for JEE Advanced registration

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2026 will be released approximately 7-10 days before the examination date through the official website (jeeadv.ac.in). Candidates must login using their JEE Advanced Application Number and password to download the admit card. No physical copy will be sent by post; candidates must carry a printed copy along with valid photo ID proof (Aadhar/Passport/Driving License/PAN card) to the examination centre.

JEE Advanced Result 2026 will be declared in the second week of June 2026 through the official website. Results include All India Rank (AIR) and category-wise ranks for qualified candidates. The organizing IIT will prepare separate rank lists for each category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD). Candidates can check their results by logging in with application number and date of birth. Typically, the minimum qualifying marks are around 10-15% of maximum marks for General category and 5-8% for reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD). In recent years, General category cutoff has been approximately 35-40% aggregate, OBC-NCL around 30-35%, SC around 17-20%, and ST around 15-17%. However, securing admission requires much higher ranks—typically below 10,000 AIR for old IITs in popular branches like Computer Science, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. Category-wise cutoff ranks vary significantly by IIT and branch, with top branches at IIT Bombay/Delhi requiring ranks under 500 for General category.
