Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 is a recruitment drive under the Agnipath scheme introduced by the Government of India for enrolling young aspirants into the Indian Air Force as Agniveers for a tenure of four years. This recruitment is conducted by the Indian Air Force and selects candidates for various technical and non-technical trades in the Air Force. Agniveers will serve in different capacities including technical roles, ground duties, and support functions across IAF establishments nationwide. After the four-year tenure, 25% of Agniveers will be retained for regular service based on merit and organizational requirements. For Science Subjects Group:

Selection Procedure

The selection process for Indian Air Force Agniveervayu consists of the following stages:

1. Online Examination: Computer-based objective type test covering English, Physics, Mathematics (for Science stream) or Reasoning & General Awareness (for non-science). The exam duration is 60 minutes with questions testing aptitude and subject knowledge.

1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Shortlisted candidates from the written exam undergo physical fitness assessment including 1.6 km run (to be completed within stipulated time), and other fitness parameters as per IAF standards.

1. Adaptability Test: A series of tests conducted to assess the candidate's adaptability to Air Force environment, including group activities and psychological assessments.

1. Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical examination conducted by Air Force Medical Officers to ensure candidates meet the prescribed medical standards for Agniveervayu, including height, weight, chest measurements, eyesight, and absence of medical conditions.

Salary and Allowances for Agniveervayu

• Seva Nidhi Package: 30% of monthly package is contributed to Seva Nidhi fund by IAF, with matching contribution from Agniveer's salary. At the end of 4 years, Agniveer receives approximately ₹10.04 lakhs as Seva Nidhi corpus with interest (tax-free)

After the four-year Agniveer tenure, 25% of each batch will be enrolled into regular cadre of the Indian Air Force based on centralized selection process considering performance, merit, willingness, and medical fitness. These retained Agniveers will complete a total service of 15 years (including the initial 4-year Agniveer period) and will be eligible for promotions to higher ranks like Corporal, Sergeant, Junior Warrant Officer, and Warrant Officer with corresponding pay scales under the Air Force structure. Those not retained will receive the Seva Nidhi package and can pursue alternative career opportunities with priority in Central Armed Police Forces and state police organizations.

Admit cards for the Agniveervayu online examination will be released approximately 7-10 days before the scheduled exam date on the official recruitment portal. Candidates must login with their Registration Number/Application Number and date of birth to download their admit card. The admit card contains important details including candidate's name, photograph, examination centre address, reporting time, and exam day instructions.
