Haryana HTET 2025

Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025 is conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) to certify the eligibility of candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and private schools across Haryana. This is a mandatory qualifying examination for those wishing to teach classes I to XII in Haryana schools. HTET certification is valid for a lifetime and is required for recruitment to teaching posts in the state. The exam is conducted in three levels: Level 1 for Primary Teacher (Classes I-V), Level 2 for Trained Graduate Teacher (Classes VI-VIII), and Level 3 for Post Graduate Teacher and Lecturer (Classes IX-XII). Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Level 1 (Primary Teacher - Classes I to V):

• Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) / B.Ed. / JBT
• OR Senior Secondary with 45% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed.
• OR Graduation with 50% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed.

Level 2 (Trained Graduate Teacher - Classes VI to VIII):

• Graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) / B.Ed.
• OR Graduation with 45% marks and 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.

Level 3 (Post Graduate Teacher - Classes IX to XII):

• Post Graduation in relevant subject with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) AND B.Ed.
• OR Post Graduation with 45% marks in concerned subject and B.Ed. with 50% marks

• Candidate must be a citizen of India
• Preference given to candidates domiciled in Haryana for state government teaching posts

How to Apply

2. Click on "HTET 2025 Application" link on the homepage
3. Register with basic details (name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID) to generate Registration Number
4. Login using Registration Number and Password
5. Fill the online application form with personal, educational, and contact details
6. Upload scanned documents:

• Recent passport-size photograph (50 KB, JPG format)
• Signature (20 KB, JPG format)
• Category certificate (if applicable)

1. Select exam level(s) - Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 (candidates can apply for multiple levels)
2. Pay application fee through online mode (Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI)
3. Submit the application form and save the confirmation page
4. Download and print the filled application form for future reference

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Computer-Based Test): Candidates appear for the HTET exam in their chosen level(s). The exam is conducted in offline/online mode as multiple-choice questions covering Child Development & Pedagogy, Language subjects, Mathematics/Science/Social Science, and Environmental Studies.

1. Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure minimum 60% marks (90 out of 150) for General category and 55% marks (82.5 out of 150) for reserved categories to qualify HTET.

1. Certificate Issuance: Successful candidates receive HTET Eligibility Certificate which is valid for lifetime. This certificate is mandatory for applying to teaching positions in Haryana.

1. Merit List (for recruitment): When recruitment notifications are issued separately by the Haryana Education Department, merit lists are prepared based on academic qualifications, professional qualifications, experience, and HTET scores.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates for actual teaching positions undergo document verification of educational certificates, caste certificates, and other relevant documents.

1. Final Selection: Based on merit, document verification, and medical fitness, final selection is made for teaching posts during separate recruitment drives.

After recruitment as a teacher in Haryana government schools, career progression follows a structured path with promotions based on seniority, performance, and departmental examinations. Primary Teachers can get promoted to Senior Teacher and then to Headmaster/Principal positions. TGTs can advance to Senior TGT, Vice Principal, and Principal roles. PGTs can become Senior PGT, Lecturers, and move into administrative positions like Deputy DEO, District Education Officer, and higher educational administrative roles with 15-25 years of service.

HTET 2025 Admit Cards are typically released 10-15 days before the examination date on the official website htetonline.com or bseh.org.in. Candidates must login with their Registration Number and Date of Birth to download the admit card. The admit card contains examination center details, exam timing, candidate's photograph, important instructions, and COVID-19 guidelines (if applicable). No physical admit cards are sent by post; candidates must carry a printout of the downloaded admit card along with original photo ID proof to the examination center.

HTET 2025 results are generally declared within 4-6 weeks after the conduct of examinations. Results are published on the official website where candidates can check their scores by entering their Roll Number and Date of Birth. The result shows subject-wise marks, total marks obtained, percentage, and qualifying status. Successful candidates can download their HTET Eligibility Certificate which is valid for lifetime. Category-wise cutoff marks and answer keys are also released along with results, and candidates can raise objections within the stipulated time if discrepancies are found.

HTET cutoff marks vary by level and category. For General category candidates, the minimum qualifying percentage is 60% (90 marks out of 150), while for SC/BC/OBC/EWS categories, it is 55% (82.5 marks out of 150). In recent years, most General category candidates scoring 95-105 marks successfully qualified, while reserved category candidates qualified with 85-95 marks. Cutoff trends depend on exam difficulty level, number of candidates appearing, and overall performance. Level 3 typically has slightly higher cutoff percentages compared to Level 1 and Level 2 due to the nature of candidates and competition.
