Selection will be based on merit and verification process:

1. Merit List Preparation: Selection is purely based on merit prepared on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in ITI examination (NCVT/SCVT). Candidates are shortlisted category-wise based on their ITI final marks percentage.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification where original certificates and testimonials will be verified including ITI certificate, date of birth proof, caste certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate and other relevant documents.

1. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must undergo pre-engagement medical examination as per HAL's medical standards. Candidates must be medically fit to perform apprenticeship duties in industrial environment.

1. Final Selection and Engagement: After successful document verification and medical fitness, candidates will be issued engagement letters specifying the trade, duration of apprenticeship, stipend amount and commencement date. Final engagement is subject to verification of antecedents and character.
