1. Online Computer-Based Test (CBT): Single-stage online examination covering technical and general ability topics. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 180 minutes (3 hours). Questions are drawn from Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and General Ability sections based on the candidate's specialization.

1. Normalization of Marks: If the examination is conducted in multiple shifts, scores will be normalized using established statistical methods to ensure fairness across different sessions and difficulty levels.

1. Merit List Preparation: Final merit list is prepared based on normalized scores obtained in the online examination. Candidates are ranked category-wise and circle-wise based on their performance.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (typically 3 times the number of vacancies per category) are called for document verification. Original certificates of educational qualification, age proof, category certificate, and other relevant documents are verified.

1. Medical Examination: Candidates who successfully complete document verification undergo medical fitness examination. Fitness standards as prescribed by BSNL are applied.

1. Final Selection: Based on merit position, successful document verification, and medical fitness, final selection list is published. Selected candidates are allocated to telecom circles based on merit rank and circle preference indicated during application.
