Educational Qualification

The selection process for BSNL JTO comprises the following stages:

1. Online Computer-Based Test (CBT): A single-stage online examination covering technical and general knowledge subjects. Questions are objective-type (MCQs) covering Engineering subjects, General Ability, and relevant technical topics. This is the primary screening stage.

1. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the online exam are called for document verification in order of merit. Candidates must produce original certificates including educational qualification, date of birth, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents.

1. Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates undergo a medical fitness examination as per BSNL medical standards. Candidates must be medically fit for field duties and should meet the vision and physical standards prescribed.

1. Final Merit List: Based on the marks obtained in the online examination, document verification status, and medical fitness, a final merit list is prepared. Selection is made strictly on merit basis within each category.

1. Training & Probation: Selected candidates undergo induction training at BSNL Training Centers and serve a probation period (typically 2 years) before confirmation. Performance during probation is evaluated for final absorption.

Note: There is no interview stage for JTO recruitment. Selection is purely based on online exam performance and document/medical verification.
