Educational Qualification

1. Online Written Examination: Computer-based test covering Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. This is the primary screening stage where candidates are shortlisted based on their performance.

1. Merit List Preparation: Based on the marks obtained in the online exam, a merit list is prepared separately for each state/circle. Candidates are shortlisted circle-wise as per reservation norms.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification where original certificates related to age, educational qualification, category certificate, and other relevant documents are checked.

1. Medical Examination: Selected candidates may undergo a basic medical fitness check to ensure they are fit for the apprenticeship role.

1. Final Selection: Final selection is based on marks obtained in the online exam, subject to satisfactory document verification and medical fitness. Selected candidates are offered apprenticeship for one year.

Note: There is no interview for Apprentice positions. Selection is purely based on online exam performance and document verification.

Negative Marking: Yes, 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer

Sectional Timing: Each section has separate timing of 20 minutes. Candidates cannot switch between sections during the allocated time.

• Leave: Entitled to 1 day leave for every 20 days of service

After successful completion of the one-year apprenticeship, candidates may be considered for regular employment in Bank of Baroda through direct absorption (subject to vacancies and management decision) or through regular recruitment drives where apprentices may receive preference. Former apprentices gain valuable banking experience that significantly enhances their prospects in competitive exams for clerical and officer positions in Bank of Baroda and other public sector banks. Many apprentices have successfully transitioned to permanent roles in clerical cadre and subsequently progressed to officer positions through internal promotions and JAIIB/CAIIB qualifications.

Admit cards for the Bank of Baroda Apprentice online examination are typically released 7-10 days before the scheduled exam date on the official Bank of Baroda recruitment website.
