Selection Process
Selection Stages
- Preliminary Examination (Screening Test): Computer-based objective type test covering General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning, and Hindi/English language skills. This is a qualifying exam to shortlist candidates for Mains examination. Candidates scoring above the cutoff marks will be called for Mains.
- Main Examination (Written Test): Comprehensive written examination consisting of multiple papers testing Legal Knowledge, Constitutional Law, Indian Penal Code, Civil and Criminal Procedure, General Studies, and Language proficiency. Marks obtained in Mains will be considered for final merit list preparation.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates based on Mains exam merit will be called for certificate verification. Original documents including educational certificates, age proof, category certificates, domicile certificate, and identity proof must be produced for verification.
- Typing/Computer Proficiency Test: Candidates may be required to undergo typing test in Hindi and English on computer with minimum speed requirements. This may be qualifying in nature.
- Medical Examination: Finally selected candidates will undergo medical fitness examination by authorized medical board to ensure physical and mental fitness for the post.
- Final Merit List: Based on performance in Main examination and successful completion of all stages, final merit list will be prepared category-wise and appointment letters will be issued.
