The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, providing tertiary healthcare and medical education. This DV schedule is for candidates who have qualified the written examination for various non-faculty Group B (ministerial, paramedical, technical) and Group C (support staff, technical assistants) positions. Selected candidates will be appointed to permanent positions at AIIMS Gorakhpur, one of the premier medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Group B Posts:

• Administrative/Ministerial: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with typing speed of 35 wpm in English OR 30 wpm in Hindi
• Paramedical (Staff Nurse): B.Sc. Nursing OR Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with valid registration
• Technical Posts: Diploma/Degree in relevant field (Engineering, Lab Technology, etc.)

Group C Posts:

• Support Staff: 10th pass from recognized board
• Technical Assistants: 12th pass with science subjects OR ITI in relevant trade
• Data Entry Operator: 12th pass with typing speed 30 wpm and computer knowledge

Selection Process

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Examination: Objective type multiple choice questions covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi, and subject-specific knowledge. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks are shortlisted for next stage.

1. Skill Test (for applicable posts): Typing test for ministerial posts, practical test for technical and paramedical positions. Candidates must achieve minimum qualifying speed/proficiency to proceed further.

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for verification of original certificates including educational qualifications, age proof, caste certificate, experience certificates, and other relevant documents. Discrepancies lead to disqualification.

1. Medical Examination: Candidates who clear DV undergo medical fitness examination as per AIIMS standards to ensure they are medically fit for the post.

1. Final Merit List: Based on marks obtained in written exam, skill test performance, and successful completion of DV and medical examination, final merit list is prepared category-wise and appointments are offered.

AIIMS Gorakhpur offers structured career progression based on performance and experience. Group C employees can be promoted to Group B posts through departmental examinations and seniority. Group B officers progress through various levels (Level 6 to Level 11) with regular promotions every 5-7 years based on Annual Confidential Reports (ACR) and departmental requirements. Senior positions like Administrative Officer, Deputy Nursing Superintendent, and Section Officer are attainable through merit and experience. Admit cards for the written examination are released approximately 10-15 days before the exam date on the official AIIMS Gorakhpur website. Candidates must download their admit card using registration number and date of birth/password from the candidate login portal. No admit card will be sent by post. The admit card contains important details including exam centre, reporting time, and instructions. Candidates must carry the admit card along with valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, Voter ID) to the examination centre. For Document Verification, separate call letters are issued mentioning the DV date, time, venue, and list of required documents.

Results of the written examination are declared within 4-6 weeks after the exam date on the official website. Candidates can check their result using registration number and date of birth. The result displays marks obtained, cutoff marks, and qualifying status. Category-wise merit lists are prepared based on marks scored in the written exam. Shortlisted candidates are called for skill test (if applicable) and document verification. After DV, a provisional selection list is published, followed by final result after medical examination. All results and selection lists are available on aiimsgorakhpur.edu.in under the recruitment section. Selected candidates receive appointment letters via email and registered post.

Cutoff marks vary each year depending on vacancy numbers, difficulty level of the exam, and number of candidates. For Group B posts, typical cutoff ranges between 65-75% for UR category, 60-70% for OBC, 55-65% for SC, and 50-60% for ST category. For Group C posts, cutoffs are generally lower, ranging from 55-65% for UR, 50-60% for OBC, 45-55% for SC/ST. PwBD candidates usually have 5-10% relaxation in cutoff marks. Candidates scoring exactly at cutoff may be called for tie-breaking criteria based on date of birth or marks in specific sections. Previous year cutoffs and category-wise qualifying marks are published along with the result.
