The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducts the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE-5) for recruitment to Group B and Group C non-faculty posts across various AIIMS institutions in India. This examination is organised by AIIMS New Delhi on behalf of all AIIMS institutions to fill vacancies in administrative, technical, paramedical, and other support staff positions. Candidates selected through this examination are posted to AIIMS institutions across the country including AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, and other newer AIIMS. Educational Qualification

Group B Posts:

• Graduate degree from a recognised university for administrative positions
• Diploma/Degree in relevant technical field for technical posts (Laboratory Technology, Radiology, OT Technology, etc.)

Group C Posts:

How to Apply

1. Visit the official AIIMS recruitment portal at aiimsexams.ac.in or the designated CRE-5 application website
2. Click on "New Registration" and provide basic details (name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number) to generate Registration ID and Password
3. Login using Registration ID and Password received on email/SMS
4. Fill the online application form with personal details, educational qualifications, experience, category, post preferences, and upload required documents
5. Upload scanned copies of photograph (20-50 KB, JPG format), signature (10-20 KB), and relevant certificates as per specifications
6. Select exam centre preference from the available cities
7. Preview the filled application form and verify all details carefully
8. Proceed to fee payment section and pay the application fee through online mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI)
9. After successful payment, submit the application form and save/print the confirmation page with application number for future reference
10. Note down the Application Number and keep the payment receipt safely

Selection Process

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) - Phase I: Objective type screening test covering General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Domain-specific subjects. Candidates qualifying based on merit and category-wise cutoffs proceed to Phase II.

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) - Phase II: Detailed examination with higher difficulty level covering subject-specific knowledge, professional competency, and advanced reasoning abilities for shortlisted candidates.

1. Skill/Trade Test: For technical posts, candidates must demonstrate practical skills in their respective domains (typing test for clerical posts, laboratory procedures for lab technicians, radiological techniques for radiographers, etc.).

1. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for verification of original certificates including educational qualifications, date of birth proof, caste certificate, experience certificates, and other relevant documents.

1. Medical Examination: Final selected candidates undergo comprehensive medical fitness examination as per AIIMS medical standards to ensure fitness for the respective posts.

1. Final Merit List: Based on CBT scores, skill test performance, and document verification, final merit list is prepared category-wise and candidates are offered appointment to various AIIMS institutions.

Computer Based Test - Phase I (Preliminary)

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. No marks deducted for unanswered questions.

Computer Based Test - Phase II (Mains)

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer in objective questions. No negative marking for descriptive/scenario-based questions.

Admit cards for AIIMS CRE-5 examination are typically released 7-10 days before the scheduled exam date on the official AIIMS examination portal. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging into their account using Registration ID and Password. The admit card contains important details including exam date, time, venue, reporting time, and instructions. Candidates must carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, or Passport) to the examination centre for entry.

The AIIMS CRE-5 results are declared in multiple phases - Phase I results within 4-6 weeks after the preliminary examination, followed by Phase II results within 6-8 weeks after the main examination. Results are published on the official website with candidate-wise scores and category-wise cutoff marks. Candidates can check their results by entering their Registration Number and Date of Birth. Typically, for Group B posts, General category cutoffs range from 55-65% (82-97 marks out of 150), OBC cutoffs are 50-60% (75-90 marks), and SC/ST cutoffs range from 40-50% (60-75 marks) in Phase I. Phase II cutoffs are generally higher with General category requiring 60-70% (156-182 marks out of 260). Technical posts usually have lower cutoffs compared to administrative posts due to specialized knowledge requirements.
